The Scientific Day in Mathematics
A scientific day dedicated to Pure and Applied Mathematics, bringing together undergraduate students, graduate students and faculty members to present research, exchange ideas and discuss recent developments in mathematical sciences.
Welcome to Join Us
The Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, Birzeit University, warmly welcomed undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty members, and researchers to participate in the Scientific Day in Mathematics (SDM 2016), held on December 18, 2016, in Science Building Hall SCI215 at Birzeit University.
The event was organized to encourage academic excellence, promote undergraduate research, and provide a platform for presenting scientific work in Pure and Applied Mathematics. Participants exchanged ideas, discussed current mathematical challenges, and explored opportunities for future research collaboration.
The Scientific Day also provided students with the opportunity to present their graduation and research projects, strengthening communication between students and faculty members while encouraging scientific discussion within the Department of Mathematics.
Scientific Program
The Scientific Day in Mathematics covered a wide range of topics in Pure and Applied Mathematics, including Game Theory, Mathematical Economics, Mathematical Statistics, Optimization, Linear Algebra, Abstract Algebra, Dynamical Systems, Differential Equations, and Numerical Analysis.
The event reflected the Department of Mathematics' commitment to supporting scientific research, encouraging student participation in academic activities, and strengthening the culture of research and innovation within Birzeit University.
