Abstract
This seminar presents a mathematical approach to modeling the conversion of solar energy into electrical energy through photovoltaic power panels. It focuses on the mathematical principles used to describe the behavior, efficiency, and energy output of photovoltaic systems under varying environmental and operational conditions.
The presentation explores how mathematical models can support the analysis and optimization of solar power generation, including the relationship between solar radiation, panel performance, electrical output, and system efficiency. The seminar also highlights the role of applied mathematics in developing sustainable and reliable renewable energy technologies.
The seminar was presented at the Escola de Ciências e Tecnologia, Universidade de Évora, Portugal, during the period from February 13 to 19, 2025.
The event provided an opportunity to discuss the application of mathematical modeling in renewable energy, with particular emphasis on photovoltaic systems and the broader role of mathematics in engineering and sustainable technology.
